Obtained Master of Science in Computer Science. Worked as Graduate
Teaching Assistant in CS1501 Introduction to Computing. Developed and implemented
Undergraduate TA Training Program. Pioneered animated presentations to illustrate
algorithm operation for both TA Training and normal course work.
Plant Manager, SGD Glass;
Covington, Georgia;
1995-1997
Managed design, construction and startup of $46 million
glass plant for manufacture of perfume and cosmetic bottles. Selected
and trained workforce of 135 employees. Fast track project-elapsed
time from groundbreaking to furnace lighting was less than 10
months. Construction phase was completed on-time and under budget.
Reported to Division Manufacturing Manager.

Responsible for marketing, forecasting and technical
support for emerging fused cast checker business. Specified and
recommended customized Cruciform solutions to meet specific needs
of customers. Increased market share and sales resulting in construction
of new US manufacturing facility. Responsible for marketing, sales
and promotion of monolithic products. Responsible for promotional
activities for all products at annual Glass Problems Conference.
Special assignment coordinating presentations and information
flow to legal counsel in conjunction with acquisition of Carborundum.

Responsible for world-wide marketing, forecasting,
customer service and technical support for $30MM fused cast checker
business. Specified and recommended customized Cruciform solutions
to meet customer needs. Accomplishments include increased market
share, installation of marketing database for trend analysis,
significant improvements in quotation preparation system and complete
revision of catalogs, brochures and presentation materials. Reported

Managed Engineering Department consisting of Process
and Equipment Engineering, Quality Control and Laboratory Services.
Responsible for process and quality improvements, cost reduction,
capital project planning and execution. Also functioned as project
leader of major task force aimed at selection improvement and
process optimization. Reported to Plant Manager. Corning Glass Works; Bluffton, Indiana Plant Manufacturing Engineer, 1981-1983
Directed engineering department consisting of twenty-two
salaried engineers and forty technicians. Primary responsibilities
included management of process, training, quality control, glass
technology and equipment engineering. Also responsible for $4MM
cost reduction program and $2MM capital budget. Reported to Plant

Directed engineering department consisting of six
salaried engineers and six technicians. Responsible for process
definition and optimization utilizing $250M experimental budget.
